Ingrid Andres interrupts silence after ‘drunken’ mlb home run derby performance

Country music singer -songwriter Ingrid Andress first broke silence on Thursday, almost a year after admitting herself at rehabilitation after her acknowledgment that she was “drunk” during her controversial national anthem on The The 2024 MLB Derby Run Derby.
Andres, 33, appeared on “Viall file” Podcast this week to talk about falling out of her appearance and what appeared just before she took the terrain to Globe Life Field in Arlington in mid-July.

“That day started as very – what seemed like a normal day,” Andtered recalled. “At that moment, like that day, I knew I was drinking, but I really loved the stunned feeling I had, and I just didn’t stop so much.”

Andress was later in a statement she shared on the social media that she was “drunk” as she sang the national anthem. On Thursday, she said she shared a statement while on a rehab plane.

“I won’t bulls — You all, I was drunk last night,” her statement said. “Today I am applying at the facility to get the help I need. It was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, to all fans, and to this country I love so much for that amount. I’ll give you how rehabilitation is, I hear it’s great fun.”
Andress said on Thursday that she got a huge amount of hatred and felt like a “American punching bag”. She joked that, because of the political climate at the time, she took comfort, knowing that at least she could combine people about one thing.
“I will say, at the time the politics was really noisy, and I just feel like there was a lot of anger at the time. So if nothing else, I feel like I’m fine with an American punching bag, because at one point everyone was united in the fact that it was awful. So, I feel like I am united America in a way.”

Last month Andress had the opportunity to redeem and perform the “Star Transparent” on NHL play in Colorado. She also announced a new single earlier this week.
On Thursday, she said that after she was in rehabilitation and time with her family at home in Colorado, she felt ready to return.
“I spent a lot of time with my family, and then I said, ‘I think it’s time to reinthp. ”
