Heavy boxing legend has been dying from 76 years old, says the family
George Foreman’s heavyweight boxing legend has died at the age of 76, his family said.
Foreman, known as Big George in the ring, competed for decades, starting in the 1960s, winning gold at the Olympic Games and numerous titles – including the World Title in the heavyweight category.
His first professional loss came to the second icon: Muhammad but in the 1974 iconic fight.
“Our hearts are broken,” his family said in a statement posted on Instagram. “A pious preacher, a dedicated husband, a love father and a proud great and a great -grandfather, lived life marked by unwavering faith, humility and purpose.”
While the name of the household in his athletic career, Foreman has also become known for his iconic George Foreman Grill, who has been bought by millions for decades since it was in the 1994 market.
Foreman has a dozen children, many of whom have called “George”.
He explained on his website that he called them by him to “always have something in common.”
“I tell them,” If one of us goes up, we all go together, “he explained.” And if someone falls, we all drop together! “”
