Friend Gene Hackman said an actor in later years relied strongly on his wife

For over 30 years, Gene Hackman And Betsy Arakawa Hackman, who were found dead in their Santa Feu, New Mexico, home on February 26, relied strongly on each other.
In a new interview for New York TimesA longtime friend of the legendary actor, Tom Allin, said the connection between the couple was very special in that they seemed to be always on the same page.
“She was very protective of him,” said Allin, who would often schedule golf trips with Gene via Betsy, adding that Gene did happily that his wife launched things.
At one point, Allin recalled Gene, who told him he would have been dead “long ago” without Betsy not attention to him.

The actor died due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease atherosclerosis, with Alzheimer’s disease as a significant factor that contributes, confirmed by New Mexico officials during a journalist conference on Friday. Betsy, a classic pianist, died because of Hantavirus pulmonary syndromewhich is transferred from animals to humans and is usually located in rodents, the Ministry of Health confirmed in Novi Mexico. Her autopsy designated a way of death as natural. Authorities believe she died on February 11 or roughly.
According to Forensic pathologists, Dr. Michael Baden, Gene probably survived in the house for about a week, until he died about 18 February, which was last recorded on his paysmeker.
