English head Thomas Tuchel says England “did not have an identity and hunger” under Gareth Southgate on Euro 2024
Thomas Tuchel criticized the predecessor of Gareth Southgate and claims that England had a clear playing style at Euro 2024 last summer.
Three lions reached the finals despite a series of insidious screens just to beat Spain in an extension.
Southgate’s tactic was widespread with only one of their three group stages in Germany, before demanding a great, last time overhead blows from Judas Bellingham to remove from the exit to Slovakia.

Southgate followed the tournament and was replaced by Tuchel, who first took over the team for the first time, when England opened the World Cup qualifying campaign against Albania at Wembley.

Asked in an interview with ITV Sport if he felt that England had a clear style of playing on euros, German replied: “Not last summer, no.”
Explaining what was missing, he added: “Identity, clarity, rhythm, repetition of the patterns, the freedom of the player, the expression of the player, the hunger …
“They were more afraid to leave the tournament in my observation than to have excitement and hunger to beat him.”
Excitement top of the English boss Tuchel’s List Wish
Tuchel, who was managed by Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich at the club level, hopes that excitement will return to the national team.
“A look that people feel that [England] are a team that will win, “he said.
“We already know that when we arrive, once we qualify, that this is a team that needs to win.”
Tuchel has already made an impression with A controversial announcement in which midfielder Jordan Henderson’s return and the first call for Newcastle veteran Dan Burn.
