Former Western Indian versatile Dwayne Bravo has brought an intriguing revelation on his decision to become a mentor of Kolkat Knight Riders (KKR). Former cricket revealed that he consulted Captain Chennai Super Kings (CSK) MS Dhoni before accepting Kolkat Knight Riders for IPL 2025.
Bravo was appointed mentor Knight Riders for the IPL 2025. He replaced the Gambhira gautama, who played a key role in the success of KKR KKR last season with the main coach Chandrakante Pandit. In 2024, KKR secured its third IPL title with an eight -winning victory over Sunrizes Hyderabad in the finals.

In an Instagram video, Dwayne Bravo asked who he would support if Kolkat Knight Riders plays Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025 final. Bravo stated that it was a difficult choice, but supported KKR. He added that the franchise had brought him to continue their heritage.
“Kolkat VS CSK, IPL Final. I obviously want the Kolkat to win. It’s sad, but I train here and they brought me to continue their heritage. Dhoni will understand,” Bravo said.

The 41-year-old revealed that he personally called MS Dhoni before accepting the role of mentor Kolkat Knight Riders. He stated that he took the job only after receiving Dhoni’s approval. Bravo expressed his gratitude to former CSK Captain CSC.
“When I got a job offer, I called it personally and accepted the offer only after he said to accept it. So, it is respect for him and the organization. Everyone really supported my decision, I am happy and grateful for that and now I have to do what I have to do,” Bravo added.

Dwayne Bravo finished his 13-year-old connection with Chennai Super Kings, where he won four IPL titles in various roles. He played for CSK from 2011 to 2022 before becoming a bowling coach 2023 and 2024.
Bravo is considered one of the largest T20 players. During his IPL career, he played for Mumbaj Indians, CSK and Gujarat Lions. Pacer with right -hand hands was presented in 161 games and took 183 Wicke. He is the third highest Vitnjak in the history of the tournament. He also scored 1,560 driving in the league with a stick.
