“They have a hard time trying to figure out how to deal with Trump and it is hard for them to understand who they should bring out,” CNN anchorage John King told Tapper.
Tapper explained that Democrats, compared to Republicans, have been felt less energized and less united in recent months.
“I have to say, you can really feel the Republicans with Pepin in their step, and Democrats are quite demoralized,” Tapper said.
“I mean, understandably, given the fact that the Republicans control the home, the Senate and the White House, not to mention the conservative armchair on the US Supreme Court,” he continued. “But beyond that, even when Republicans are not in power, you feel energy quite often when Democrats control things.”

Tapper also spoke of the role of Vice -President JD Vance in GOP, saying that he made a “meteoric rise” to power.
“It was a meteoric rise for the author and marina of veterans JD Vance, who was just elected to the US Senate and, just a few years later, chose as a candidate for Trump’s leader,” Tapper said. “And here he is, another in line for the Presidency.”
