The 62-year-old actress has already won the Golden Globe and critic award for her leading role in the film. During her speech about accepting at the Golden Globes, she told the audience: “This is the first time I won anything as an actor,” despite being in the industry for over 45 years.
Although many were shocked when they heard that Moore had never won an acting award before, she was not the only actor who first achieved success in awards later in his career.

Clint Eastwood He began his acting career in the 1950s, when he was 25, mostly acting in Westerners, including “Rawhide”, “Outlaw Josey Wales”, “Pale Rider” and many others.
Although one of the most recognizable actors of the time, as well as the household name, Eastwood did not receive its first prize or nomination for the 1993 award when he was 62 years old. Eastwood won the “Unforgiven” director.
In the same year, he also won the Best Picture category for the same movie, and was also nominated for his leading role in the film. Since then, he has received eight additional nominations in directing categories, best pictures and actors, winning two more Oscars in 2005 for “Baby Million Dollar Baby”, which also won the best picture of that year.
The latest Eastwood nomination arrived in 2015, when the “American sniper”, which he directed and produced, was nominated for the best picture.

Alan Arkin played his first acting role in 1957, when he was 23 years old, and his first nomination for the Academy Award 10 years later, in 1967, for his role in “Russians, the Russians are coming,” but did not win.
He continued to act, acting in “Inspector Clouseau”, “The Heart is a lonely hunter”, for which he received another nomination for the Academy Award, “Slum of Beverly Hills” and more. After several nominations, his big victory finally came in 2007, when he won an Oscar at the age of 72 for his role in “Little Miss Sunshine”.
In 2013, the actor received his fourth nomination for the Academy Award for the role in “Fargo”.

British actress, Jessica Tandy, was an excellent stage actress, winning four Tony awards for her roles in “A Streetcar named Desire”, “Gin Game” and “Foxfire”. She first appeared on the screen in 1932, when she was 23, and continued to act in more than 60 films.
After a decade in the industry, Tandy received the first prize and nomination for the 1991 Award for the lead role in “Driving Miss Daisy. “At the age of 80, Tandy has become the oldest winner of the best actresses in history, a record that has not yet been broken.
Her role in the movie also deserved her Bafta and Golden Globe Award. She continued to receive the second nomination for Oscar in 1993 for her supporting role in “Fried Green Tomatoes”.

Known for his lead roles in the movie “The Sound of Music”, “The man who will be the king”, “Beautiful mind” and other classics, Christopher Plummer appeared in his first movie in 1958, when he was 29 years old. He continued to play more than 215 screen projects and many playing on Broadway.
Decades later, Plummer received his first nomination for the Academy award in 2010, when he was nominated for his supporting role in the “last station”. Although he did not win that year, his great day followed two years later, when he won the award for his supporting role in “Beginners” at the age of 80.
His momentum continued, since he was later nominated for his supporting role in “all the money in the world”, the role originally played by Kevin Spacey, but Plummer took over when Spacey was released after charges of sexual abuse against him.

Judi Dench She began starring on the 1959 screen, appearing mainly as a guest on various television shows before debut on the big screen in “The Third Secret” from 1964, when she was 30 years old.
Her big vacation arrived with the first main role in the 1997 Mrs. Brown, for which she earned her first Oscar nomination. Although she lost at the 1998 ceremony, she was once again nominated in 1999 for her supporting role in “Shakespeare in Love”, the role that earned her first academy award when she was 64 years old.

Helen Mirren She first appeared on the screen in 1967, when she was about 22, and her first major success as an actress in 1984, when she won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in “Cal”.
After the invasion of the industry, Mirren continued with respect to her work, receiving nominations for the award for the Academy for her side roles in “King George’s Crazy” in 1995 and “Gosford Park” in 2002.
It was not until 2007 that Mirren won her first Oscar at the age of 61 for her leading role in “Queen”. She continued to get the fourth nomination of 2010 for her leading role in the “Last Station”.
