Five-time All-Nba Guardian Luka Doncic begins the Los Angeles Lakers career just over a week after his Dallas Mavericks Blockbuster store.
Luka Doncic produced 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in his debut in Los Angeles Lakers, and LeBron James added 24 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, as the newly formed stellar duo led the way to a 132-113-hosting trip to Utah Jazz.
Austin Reaves recorded 22 points and nine rebounds, and Rui Hachimura added 21 points, while the Lakers extended the winning streak to six games, while the tenth time went to the top in the last 11 games. Jordan Goodwin scored 17 points in his second game with Los Angeles on Monday.
Doncic, acquired by Dallas Mavericks Blockbuster contract on February 2, played for the first time since Christmas after recovering from the left stress of the calf. The Slovenian Guard was on the ground for 24 minutes and fired 5 out of 14 from the floor, including 1 in 7 from 3 points range.
Lauri Markkanen and John Collins scored 17 points each, and Jordan Clarkson added 16 while Jazz saw their journey losing in nine games. Johnny Juzang scored 14 points while Utah lost the third consecutive game and fell for the 12th time in the last 14 competitions.
Collins, who had 11 rebounds, joined Isaiah Collier, who raised 13 points and 10 assists, each published a double double double for Utah.
Doncic had one traffic, and one missed a shot just over two minutes in the game before making his first basket in the Lakers uniform at 3pm and 8:05 remained in the introductory quarter.
The Lakers led 37-25 after a period and were well controlled at halftime, entering the locker room up to 72-47. Reaves had 15 points before the break, James added 13 and Doncic 11. The Lakers shot 60 percent during the two quarters, while jazz was 40 percent.
Los Angeles opened the fourth quarter of 100-75 lead and cruised to their third victory in three attempts against Utah. The teams face each other for the last time this season on Wednesday in Salt Lake City.
The only reason for the Lakers for concern came in the early fourth quarter when James briefly went to the locker room for discomfort in her stomach. He returned to the bench with the remaining just over eight minutes, but remained outside.
