China announced retaliation on Saturday tariffs on a Canadian farm and food Imports, after Canada imposed duties on electric vehicles and aluminum products for Chinese products and aluminum products in October.
The new duties enter into force on March 20, states in a statement of the Customs Tariff Customs Council’s statement. An additional 100% tariffs will be imposed on Canadian oilse oil, oil cakes and peas, and an additional 25 percent of tariffs will be applied to pork and water products.

Tariffs add global trade tension already high, with circles announcement of tariff by the United States, ChinaCanada and Mexico.
Duties come in retaliation for Ottawa by imposing a CHINESE IMPORTAGE in October, including a 100% preparation on all Chinese EVs and 25% of steel and aluminum imports.
“Despite the Chinese repeated opposition and distraction, Canada has taken unilateral restrictive measures on electric vehicles, steel, aluminum and other products imported from China without investigation, undergoing economic and trade relations in Kini-Kanada,” read a statement by customs authorities.
The decision to introduce retaliation of retribution comes after “an investigation against discrimination, which revealed that the restrictive measures of Canada against some Chinese products disturbed a normal trade order and harmed legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies,” he added.
Last August, Canada announced tariffs on Chinese goods after similar duties imposed by the United States and the European Union against EVS and other products. Western governments say Chinese subsidies give their industry an unjust advantage.
