“This is my fifth speech to the congress and once again, I look at the Democrats ahead and realize that there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy, or to make them stand or smile or applaud, nothing I can do,” Trump said.
“I could find a cure for the most assigned disease, a disease that would delete the entire nation or announce answers to the greatest economy in history or stopping crime at the lowest levels ever recorded,” Trump continued. “And those people sitting here will not applaud, they will not stand and they will certainly not cheer up for these astronomical achievements. He will not do it no matter what. I was here five- five times! It is very sad, and that simply should not be like this.”
Then there is a direct challenge for Democrats, telling them “in just one night, why not join us in celebrating so many amazing victories for America? For the good of our nation. We work together and make us really make America again.”

Earlier in the debate, Maher expressed exhaustion because of the outrage of the falsehoods that Trump gave in his address.
