BCCI set up IPL team training, discovered new regulations
The Directors of Cricket in India (BCCI) introduced new regulations for the Indian Premier League teams (IPL) on the eve of the upcoming season. According to updated guidelines, teams can only play two games for warming or training in the central part, which is a change in previous editions.
The IPL 2025 season will start on March 22 with a match between Kolkat Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengalur in Eden Gardens in Calcutta. Significantly, Eden Gardens will also host qualification 2 and finals, while qualifier 1 and eliminator will play at Rajiv Gandhi in Hyderabad.
BCCI sets guidelines for the Exercise in the official note
According to the CRICBUZZ report on February 8, BCCI introduced new guidelines to provide FER conditions for playing for all teams in IPL. The restrictions have recently been communicated to franchises, which is a shift from the previous seasons when there were no such limitations.
In a recent franchise note, BCCI directed the IPL places not to host local matches, legends of league or famous tournaments to maintain terrains in optimal state for the tournament.
BCCI aims to maintain basics and grounds in optimal state
BCCI mentioned the Rules for Exercising IPL teams in an official note. The teams are allowed up to seven three -hour training sessions under the reflectors. Teams must also receive previously written approval from BCCI for exercises.
“Before the first match of the season and as determined in the Stadium Agreement, teams can have up to seven (7) training up to three (3) hours for reflectors, two (2) of which can be exercises or open networks as the team decides.”
“The practice of matching that will take place on one of the side squares of the main square. If the team plays training match under the lights, the duration of the match should not exceed three and a half hours. According to operational rules, the practices require previously written approval of BCCI,” notes of BCCI, seen Cricbuzz, says.
BCCI proposes a solution for a concomitant session of practice
The report also added that no match or session will be allowed in the main square during this period. However, each team will have access to one side to hit the range.
“In order to prepare the terrain for the season, there are no sessions or exercises on the main square in four (4) days that led to the first home franchise game in the season. However, 1 side of the team is provided with a team.
If both teams want to exercise at the same time, BCCI will act as a mediator between team manager. The BCCI will set up exercise time if teams cannot agree, offering two two -hour places to ensure that both teams get equal play conditions and exclusive soil use.
