There are very few people in football who saw more than Jose Mourinho.
He has experienced life at the very top of the game for more than two decades – in England, Spain, Italy and Portugal – but even shocked by what he says he found in Turkey.
“This is not about sports rivalry,” he says in our exclusive interview. “This is much bigger than what people can imagine. If you live here or try to dig deep, you find incredible things.”
Mourinho tells me from the heart, after serving a ban with two games for his well -announced comments after the Istanbul derby. Now faces another ban on a touch line, for the comments he has given Sky Sports News Last week.
Before he lost to Rangers last week, his team played well. Eighteen games without defeat and they closed the gap on the bitter rival of Galatasaraya.
But now he believes it is a gap that can never be completely closed, not for football reasons.
“We found good stability [on the pitch] But everyone in this country knows that if things don’t change, it’s impossible to win [the league title].
“I raise my voice to the defense of my club and in the defense of Turkish football, because this is a beautiful country. But football must be more than this here.”

To raise voice, Mourinho has been punished and forbidden several times.
In November, after defeating Trabzonspor 3-1 from home, he told one interlocutor after the match: “We play against the system, and playing against the system is the hardest thing. The system will try to close our mouths.”

Last week, T -shirts are “pure” on sale at the Fenerbahce Club store. Mourinho gave me one, fresh from the production line, before we sat down for our conversation.
He is relaxed, despite the controversial titles in the last two weeks, but says he does not regret saying, despite the punishments, and he will continue to do so.
“I would say that, under normal conditions, we would not be difficult to fight in the first place. In normal conditions of the title race, it would be over, but it would be over (with us win) a huge distance.”
And he adds a sigh, “It’s too much. It’s just too much.”
Mourinho’s Portuguese compatriot, Jorge Jesus, had the same feeling. “This league does not have a sports reality,” he said when he was the head coach Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce officials took me to that statistics to support that claim.
In the past 10 full seasons, Fenerbahce has been 717 points. This is less than Galatasaraya, 718. Fenerbahce did not win the league titles. Galatasaray won five. Besiktas scored 18 points less than Fenerbahce, but he won the title three times.
In the past five years, this is a similar story, except that Fenerbahce has picked up more points than Galatasaray. The title is Galatasaray two, Fenerbahce nil.
Although the total points do not necessarily mean that they deserve to win the title, it stands out why they feel disappointed.
But the alleged bias that Mourinho, his club officials and club fans perceive, are not, they claim, only anti-fenerbahce, but pro-galatasaray.
Many journalists feel it, and so are other clubs.
Last month, during the game between Galatasaraya and Adana Demyspor, visiting players all went to protest for the Galatasaraya Meak Punishment Award. Players suggested that the drought mertens may have dived. At the very least, he dramatically exaggerated any contact. Alvaro Morata has achieved a place.
Demyspor was so angry that they refused to return to the field, and the game was abandoned in 1-0. The Turkish Football Federation later awarded Galatasaray points and a 3-0 victory.

Mourinho told me that he was surprised that Demyspor Tim had left, but even more shocked by the reaction of Galatasaraya players.
“Can you imagine that the team left the match because the favorite of Judge Galatasaray was too much?” he said.
“Can you visualize that in England?
“They did it because the dimension was funny. But what was even more ridiculous was that Galatasaray players remained on the field celebrating their victory. It was not a victory. It was a team that felt so unfair that they had to leave the match.
“That happens here.”
He feels such a sense of injustice, that he cannot help express him, regardless of punishment. Over and over again. After the matches. Before the matches. On social media.
“This is not a situation that one club that struggles (itself) can solve. It will not destroy the system that is established.”
Then he sent an appeal to the camera.
“This is your league. This is a league of every child who dreams of being a football player. The league of every child who loves his club. This is your league, and if you are satisfied with the status quo, be happy. I learned a new word (in Turkish):” Scandal “. But in this country many people love it.”
Mourinho told me he was doing it to try to make a difference.
“My Instagram is a very raw Instagram. I do it alone. I do all the pictures. Sometimes I write bad spelling, but that’s the way I do it. There are about six million followers around the world, and when I post ridiculous situations, I think people open my eyes.”
Of course, for every proposal on bias, for every Mourinho scream of offense, there are equally powerful feelings from Galatasaraya Da Fenerbahce benefits from the Turkish football system.

“I think about 35 million fans that Fenerbahce has in Turkey and think about the reasons why Fenerbahce does not win the title for so many years.
“Trying to win the title here means more for the club and fans than for myself. I work for them.”
And, in the end, he laughs and smiling when he says, “In the phase of my career, in which my ego is reduced and a sense of belonging, the feeling of doing something for others becomes greater.
“So, if I can help this club to do something that can change the direction of Turkish football, it would be a fantastic feeling of me.”
