Asia will remain a “lighthouse of growth possibilities” despite escalating global trade tensions, according to Singapore’s deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong.
“Even if some of us in Asia cannot be directly influenced, the influence of growing tariffs and commercial wars could cause major disorders to supply chains, slow the trade and the flow of investment and significantly restore the growth of the global economy,” Gan said on Wednesday CNBC Converge Live in Singapore.
