Witkoff to return to the Middle East Due to Israel-Hama Fire Fire Phase 1

President Donald Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, He said on Sunday that he would aim to negotiate the “extension” of the first phase of Israeli-Hamas of hostages and the fire agreement when he returned to the region this week.
“We have to get the extension of the first phase. And, so I will enter the region this week, probably on Wednesday, to negotiate it,” Witkoff said during a appearance at CNN “Union” State. “And we hope you will have the right time to finish to start the second phase and finish it and post more hostages. And move this – move the discussion forward.”
Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, close Commissioner of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, He allegedly met Washington last week, DC.
As for the meeting, CNN Jake Tapper asked Witkoff if he believed Netanyahu wanted to move forward with a dedication fire or would he want to continue the war to try to eliminate Hamas? “

Witkoff said that he believed the prime minister was “well motivated” and that he wanted to see “hostage published”, “to protect the state of Israel.”
“And so he has a red line,” Witkoff said. “And he said what a red line is, which is that Hamas cannot be involved in the control body when that thing is resolved.”
“I can’t be part of Gaza management,” the American envoy of Hamas said. “And, you know, about the existing one, I would leave that – that detail to the premiere.”
In another performance on Sunday at CBS “Face the Nation,” Witkoff said he would arrive “probably on Wednesday night” in the Middle East and visit various countries, including Qatar, Egypt, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. He added that the last remaining life is an American hostage, Edan Alexander, The main priority in the negotiations remains.
“He’s the front and center for us,” Witkoff said. “I know his parents. We are constantly talking. He is critical. This is one of the most important goals of President Trump to bring all the Americans home. And I believe we will be successful in going home.”

According to the Protocol Agreement of May 27, Witkoff explained that the second phase also included “permanent truce, cessation of all violence”, as well as “the fact that Hamas could not be allowed to return to the Government” in Gaza.
“And I think the way they have gained that circle is that Hamas has to go. They have to leave,” Witkoff said, adding, “I would say physically, that’s true.” The envoy said that it was not free to say which countries could take to people from Gaza during current negotiations, but emphasized that Gaza would not be certainly a life -long environment another 15 to 20 years after the war and requires an extension renewal plan.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced on Saturday night that “in the light of Hamas repeated violations, including ceremonies that humiliate our hostages and cynically exploit our hostages for propaganda purposes, it was decided to delay the release of terrorists who were planned for yesterday until the next hostage and without humiliating ceremonies. ”

In a video message on Friday, Netanyahu condemned Hamas “brutally killed” two young Israeli boys, whose bodies were initially returned to Israel without their mother’s remains, Shiri Bibas. In what Netanyahu proclaimed as a “brave violation of their agreement,” Hamas initially handed over the wrong body to Bibas, whose real remains were later returned and identified on Saturday after an intense extract with a terrorist group.
Hamas handed over six more Israelites on Saturday in the last scheduled edition of Living Tatec.
As part of the first phase of the fire interruption agreement, Israel agreed to release almost 2,000 prisoners and a detainee in exchange for the remaining hostages. About 1,200 people were killed and about 250 others were taken to Gaza as hostages during Hamas’s 7th October 2023, attacks on southern Israel. About 60 hostages are held by Hamas, about half of which declared Israel dead.
