Israeli tanks enter the west coast for the first time in decades because the minister says Palestinians cannot return

On Sunday, Israel sent tanks to the city of the western coast of Jenin in the first such offensive in the area in more than two decades. Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the troops would remain in parts of the territory for a year and that tens of thousands of inhabitants who escaped would not be “allowed” to return.
