Carlo Ancelotti confirmed his belief that Real Madrid Vinicius Jr was supposed to win in 2024.
Real Made headlines in October after members of the club, including Ancelotti and Vinicius, decided not to attend the Ballon D’O or Ceremony Ceremony after allegedly learning that Brazil star had not won the award.
Instead, the influential midfielder of Spain and city midfielder Rodrje received a prestigious prize after helping his club in another Premier League title and winning Euro 2024, with Vinicius’ teammate Jude Bellingham to third.
So far, Real have not talked about their reasons before not attending the ceremony, where they have been assigned to the team of the year, but Acelotti has now violated their silence on the matter while preparing for two sides to deal with two- League League nokaut.
“We didn’t want to participate because we believed that Vinicius was supposed to win the Ballon d’Or,” the Italian said.
“And that doesn’t mean we don’t respect Rodriga, but we believed he should have won in the previous year, not this.”

City V Real ‘Classic’
City and Real are faced with the champions of the Champions League for the fourth time in a row, with Real progressed in two of these previous three meetings on the way to winning the competition.

Ancelotti said, “Now it seems like a classic, it will be a fun match as before. It is very difficult to predict what will happen because it depends on quality, personality.
“They (matches) have such a high level that you have to present the best version,” he explained.
Acelotti: Dealing with PEP is ‘Nightmare’
Acelotti was better than Pep Gardiol last season, with Real winning penalties in the quarterfinals after 4-4 pulled out the aggregate.
Nevertheless, the 65-year-old knows that he is facing another terrifying task against the high high 2023 winners.
