The new lawsuit challenges the Government agency of Trump Ally, saying that it illegally received “almost unverified power.”
General lawyers from 14 US countries filed a lawsuit to challenge the authority of the billionaire Elon Musk and his Government Efficiency Department (Doge)In the last attempt to prevent hundreds of federal officials on leave and get access to sensitive federal payment systems.
The lawsuit, filed at the Federal Court in Washington, DC, says on Thursday that the newly established government department is “almost unverified government” and claims that the actions taken at the forefront of Dogea can only be nominated and Senate -officially officially.
“We are asking the court to cancel his directives and actions and issuing the order,” said State Attorney Michigan Dana Nessel during the Internet press conference, along with the Arizona and New Mexico attorneys.
The Attorney General said that the court should ban Musk to issue orders to all in the executive government outside Doge and declare that his actions have no legal effect.
They also asked the court to order a masculine to determine the ways “all the data obtained by an illegal approach to the Agency” destroy “such an unauthorized approach in the possession of their or Dogea” and at least Musk and Doge to order changes in the payment of public funds.

It claimed that Doge’s actions threatened the financial survival of public officers working in sectors, including law enforcement, health care and education.
The administration of Donald Trump on Thursday increased her strong efforts to reduce the size of the federal workforce – the largest employer in the country – ordering agencies to release almost all test employees who had not yet acquired the protection of the civil service.
This move on Tuesday is followed by an executive command that has said to the leaders of the agency that they plan to “big reductions in effect”. On the same day, employees and various unions for the civil service filed a lawsuit, demanding that Doge be forbidden to be accessed by staff records.
The New Mexico Attorney General, Raul Torrez, who participated in his last lawsuit, called Musk a “threat of democracy”.
“Although our constitutional system is designed to prevent 18th -century monarch abuse, the instruments of unproven powers are no less dangerous in the hands of the 21st century technological baron,” he said.
Torrez added that Trump shows “weakness” in mushroom distribution, not to progress his agenda through Congress under the control of the Republicans.
“Go quickly and breaking things can work in a silicon valley for a technological company,” Torrez said. “It’s not good management and it’s unattainable.”
Doge has established Trump’s administration Executive command January 20, 2025.
Unlike other government agencies, which Congress usually produces with mission and fixed amount of financing, Doge’s budget and staff are mostly mysteries.
