Two tourists died after they suffered a fatal illness as they went to Sri Lanka. Both remained in the hostel of Miracle Colombo City in the center of Colombo, according to the reports of local media.
Ebony McIntosh, a 24-year-old British influencer, and Nadine Ragusa, a 27-year-old German woman, became very sick and allegedly hurried to the hospital to treat vomiting, nausea and difficulty breathing on February 1 according to Reports.
Within a few hours of their arrival at the hospital, McIntosh and Ragusa, who had the same symptoms, both died.
The exact cause of their death was not discovered at the time of this writing. But reports suggest that McIntosh and Ragusa may have suffered a possible chemical poisoning because the adjacent hostel room was extinguished phosphinewhich is a deadly chemical used to kill the bed. The room was allegedly sealed 72 hours after treatment on January 30th.
City hostel Miracle Colombo, where they said that Ragusa and McIntosh had divided the room, has since been closed after an emergency service by the local police.
Ebony’s sister, India McIntosh, posted her honor on social networks, writing: “My Ebanovi, my beautiful sister, thank you, thank you for being my older sister, one better than I could ever ask.”
“Thank you for taking me through these 20 years of my life, I’m so happy to have you. Thank you for being an inspiration,” she continued. “Now I have to show everyone my beautiful sister, your infectious smile and energy, your passion and driving, that’s my sister !!!”
India added that “truly heart” and that “she cannot believe that I am writing this, it seems that the nightmare has not yet been awakened.”
