Donald Trump surpassed himself. After a violent return to the White House, the Mercury US president has discovered, so far, the most modern plan. After threatening to capture Greenland and the Panama Channel, Trump now has a gauze, the Palestinian territory dismissed in war. His proposal is to move 2.2 million of Gaza residents elsewhere, and now they have taken over the tape in a “long -term ownership position”, it is as morally humiliating as dangerous.
It would be easy to discard Trump comments as another performance statement. The plan is so stupid that it is unlikely that it will ever see the light of day. But the very act of president who discovered him in front of the global media, with a visiting Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, besides himself, underlines the irresponsible way in which the most powerful leader in the world leads his own foreign policy.
The self -proclaimed agreement seems to be perceived by the world as a giant basar in which everything is ready to capture as a negotiating chips, with little attention to the consequences. This is not a game that my allies around the world can afford to let him play. He grows fear and uncertainty, damaging the global position of Washington and weakening his network of alliances.
An American download of Gauze he would break all international norms. Any American military action in comics, which Hamas has been controlling since 2007, would contradict Trump’s own promise that US troops would prevent from combat zones in the Middle East. She would carry the echoes of a catastrophic invasion of Iraq from 2003, and demolish all the hopes that Trump has reached a big offer that would lead to the normalization of Saudi Arabia with Israel.
Forced mass expulsion of Gazan would be ethnic cleansing. He would revive the memories of 1948, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fled or displaced during the war that followed Israeli proclamation of independence. Trump seems to think he can throw Palestinians out on Egypt and Jordan. But they, like other Arab countries, have a fierce refused the idea.
He spoke about turning Gaza – relaxed for more than a year of Israeli bombing after Hamas’s terrible attack on October 7, 2023 – in “Riviera of the Middle East” in which “representatives from all over the world” could live. The idea that some Palestinians could live there and look there just to think. As in his first term, the US president seems to be unable to humanize Palestine, instead of looking at them as a consumption of pledgee in a wider game.
If Trump can propose to take over gauze, moreover, what next? Many, fearing that he could give the extremely right government Netanyahu the green light to attach the occupied West Bank. In his first term, he has overturned for decades by US politics, recognizing Jerusalem – whose status is controversial – as the capital of Israel and the claim of the Jewish state to the sovereignty over occupied golar altitudes.
American Arabic and Western Allies will hope for Trump’s performance On Tuesday, there was a blister-cinetic negotiating plot in his effort to provide an agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel, while pressuring the regional state to take responsibility for Hamas under the control of Hamas. But I can’t count on this assumption.
Trump has repeatedly committed to bring peace to the Middle East. It seems that peace for him means an agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia. It seems that, however, it ignores that the path to Riyadh requires a peaceful resolution of Arab-Israeli conflict. He cannot involve emptying the gauze of his people to build a resort on the Mediterranean coast of the belt.
