Adding difficulties in determining the property of the burial was his poor condition for flood exposure, according to Mohamed Abdel Badie, head of the Egyptian team that worked on digging.

But the artifacts discovered inside the tomb, including the fragments of the Alabaster jar, the names of Thutmose II and his main wife, Queen Hatshepsut, providing final evidence of the ownership of the tomb.

Experts also found that the Queen of Hatshepsut, the king’s wife and at the same time, was monitored by the burial of Thutmose II.

Egyptian authorities have announced that artifacts have been discovered important supplements in the body of knowledge over the history and reign of Thutmose II.

The excavation, which began in 2022, was conducted in cooperation with experts from the new Kingdom Research Foundation in the UK.

King Thutmose II’s mom was discovered during the 19th century, not far from the second archeological site known as a spoon of Deir el-Bahari. Probably moved there, for centuries after being robbed by a tomb, according to National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

His mom is now exposed, among those other ancient royal kingdoms, in the museum.
