The US Capitol Police Recruit killed in a car accident in Georgia and the other recruits injured
A police recruit in the US -he died in a fatal car accident in Georgia during the weekend, as the details are still coming out of an incident that also sent a few more recruits to the hospital.
Democratic congress leadership first confirmed the death of the Capitol of the United States Police recruit Christopher Katz in a statement on Monday morning.
“Our prayers are with his family and we will pay tribute to his memory when the house returns on Tuesday,” said a member of the Democratic leader of House Hakem Jeffies and the Joe Morelle House Board, both of New York. “It is a tragic day with the news that several USCP recruits have been involved in this fatal accident while in Georgia and that he is dealing with serious injuries. The whole family of the Democratic family Caucus prays for their rapid recovery.”

The statement continued: “Every day, the Capitol Police put their lives on to the order to ensure that The Congress of the United StatesCrown jewel of representative democracy, can safely do people’s work. It is with the admiration and gratitude for the life and death of the USCP we pray for loved officials of recruiters Katz and all those who take place from this tragedy. ”
In a statement later received by Fox News, US Capitol Police said the “fatal car accident” happened just before 10pm on Saturday County Glynn, Georgia.
“We were devastated learned that a fatal car accident in Glynn County, Georgia, took the life of one of our recruiting officers over the weekend,” the statement said.
Five other officials who were also in the car were injured and the collision happened while recruits were without duty during their time at the Federal Law Training Center (Fletc) in Brunswick, Georgia, Capitol police said.
“Georgia state police continue the investigation,” the statement added. “Employment officials joined our department in November. We are available for wellness resources for our entire department in this difficult time.”
