Stradivarius violin made in ‘Pinnacle’ career more than 300 years ago for sale for the price for the eye
Stradivarij violin made At the “peak” of the career of Antoni Stradivarija sold at auction at the price of the eyes this week.
The musical instrument, which was made in 1714 by Stradivari, Luthier most famously associated with violin, sold for $ 11.3 million in Sotheby’s auction u New York Friday.

“This extraordinary violin is the pinnacle of the skill and history of classical music, its incomparable sound and historical collectors and musicians,” said Mari-Claudia Jimenez, a chair at Sotheby’s. “Joachim-Ma Stradivarius has attracted global attention, achieving one of the highest prices ever for the musical instrument-knows its rarity and historical importance.”

Joachim-Ma Stradivarius is named after the two most famous owners: Joseph Joachim from Hungary, who lived in the 19th century, and the SI-Hon MA cinema, whose estate donated a violin conservatory in New England in Boston after died in Philadelphia in 2009 .
The Conservatory plans to launch a student music fund with revenue.
“Sales are transformation for future students, and revenue will establish the highest endowed scholarship at the New England Conservatory,” said Andrea Kalyn, President of the New England Conservatory. “It was an honor for me to have Joachim-Ma Stradivari in the campus, and we are eager to watch his legacy continue on the world stage.”

The musicians are outraged after the Avio -Company seriously damages the 17th -century instrument

The most expensive Stradivarius violin sold for $ 15.9 million in 2011. This violin was known as “Lady Blunt” and was made in 1921. It also holds a record as the most expensive instrument ever sold, the Voice of America states in America.

Sotheby estimated that Joachim-Ma Stradivarius could reach as much as $ 18 million, which would set a new record.

The bid stopped at $ 10 million after 30 minutes and the final price includes fees.
