Six nations: The battle for fins (n) are England against Scotland; Wales vows to play the locks of vs irland in Cardiff | News of rugby

We hear from all four camps on the eve of the Bumper Six Nations on Saturday The fixings between all nations involved on the British and Irish Lions Summer Tour to Australia: England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales …
Lawrence: No pressure on Fin Smith to surpass Russell in Scotland in twickenham
The Ollie Lawrence English center insists that Fin Smith is not under pressure to surpass the “Scottish Finn Russell world class” during the main conflict of Calcutta Cup in Twickenham.
The intriguing subplot in Saturday’s showdown Six Nations is a battle at number 10, while the Rookie Smith test seeks to upgrade on its main role in an exciting 26-25 over France at its full international debut.
The rival half of Russell, who recovered from a head injury to introduce himself at the Twickenham Allianz Stadium, many more experienced and considered the leading candidate to begin British and Irish lions in Australia this summer, live further Sky Sports.
Lawrence has a close thing to do with both men, after being a role model to the English teammate Smith at the former Worcester club before Russell joined his current side bath in 2023.
“I don’t think too much pressure on the fin; we certainly do not put pressure on him to step up or something like that,” Lawrence said.
“The way he played against France and controlled the game put us in the right areas on the field. He managed to set that attempt [for Elliot Daly] In the end, which testified that he came as a player.
“Finn Russell is the world class 10, a great player and I have a huge respect for him. But I definitely don’t look at Fin and say he has to match another Finn during the game.
“He will do his own, he is only a confident guy and we will support him all the way. There is so much more potential and more to show in a jersey in England.”
Smith, 22, has another opportunity to pull the wires for England after the decision of Chief Coach Steve Borthwick to hold his colleague Muhe Marcus Smith in full back.
“Sometimes Finn [Russell] is in his own world and things can happen that everyone else can see, “Lawrence added.
“One of his forces is that he can create something from nothing. He is a player of skill, he has a great game, a great game.
“He can do things from the cuff, but he is able to do the things he has already seen the pictures that the teams have done before and he is a world class in this.
“It will be a challenge against him, but there was the same (Antoine) Dupont, a second world class player. If you put pressure on them, then you can make them mistakes and that is a plan on Saturday.”
Townsend: Russell key man for Scotland against England
Russell plays a “big role” after he has passed, because Scotland is looking for a record fifth victory for Calcutt Cup against England, said head coach Gregor Townsend.
Half of the fly was replaced by an earthquake during the defeat of Ireland two weeks ago after clashed heads with teammate Darcy Graham, which, although noticed by a 12-day brain earthquake on Saturday in Twickenham.
Townsend beat England only once during her term and will look for her 10 Russell to encourage an answer after disappointment of loss for Ireland.
Scotland won the last four meetings of six nations between the sides, including a 30-21 2024 victory, but a fourth in this year’s order after two matches and face a potentially defined campaign against Bortwick’s side.
“They were really good games [against England]I think they were open and when they are open, your 10 has a big role in that, “Townsend said.”[Russell] He enjoyed those games that went to the wire.
“This is very difficult to consolidate. Playing in Twickenham is always one of our hardest games, and in recent years we got on the right side of the results, but they were very close and we had to play very much so that you would get that victory.
“I’m not sure if there was a fear factor [around Twickenham]Just a place that has been very difficult for us because England is always a strong team.
“This group of players had the experience of winning Twickenham, which can help while preparing to play, but reality is what happens in 80 minutes.”
Sherratt: Wales will not die by wondering against Ireland
The temporary main coach of Wales Matt Sherratt wants his team to be brave, not to “die” against the title of six nations of the Ireland title in Cardiff on Saturday.
Wales begins life after Warren Gatland with Cardiff Sherratt took the reins only for three games – Ireland, Scotland in Murrayfield and then England in Cardiff.
The movement of 14 consecutive test defeats was greatly contributed by Wales, who wrote a bookmaker as a 25/1 bookmaker when Triple Crown Chasing Ireland arrives at the Principality Stadium.
“I want the players to be brave. If they see space, I don’t want us to die asking,” Sherratt said. “If there is an error, there is a mistake. I can train it in the week. It has a system we stick to.
“Now I have been in the game long enough, I will not just say that you go out and crack, because it becomes messy. In the week we were really hard work on how we find and keep the shape.
“There will be 15 players on the field who desperately want to represent their country. This is all we are focused on, not any conversation outside the camp.
“It’s ultimately a rugby game – a rugby game with 80,000 people who watch it and a lot more interests – but when you cook it, it’s still the same as a club game.
“It will be faster, there is more pressure, collisions will be bigger, but that word is the ‘opportunity’ the one we used while we talked to the players. We don’t want them to get wander with all the eye.
“I told the players that I was overwhelming advice I had to be authentic and enjoy the experience. I said I would give them the same advice.”

Easterby oversees Ireland, while Andy Farrell is preparing for the upcoming British and Irish Lions tour and has so far impressed himself, claiming emphasized victories over England and Scotland.
Easterby, who lives in Swansea and played and trained Scarlets, heads to the Principality Stadium in the midst of the speculation that the option for the success of Gatland.
However, the 49-year-old says that he has yet to approach the Welsh rugby alliance.
