Sam Kerr: The Chelsea female striker called the Met Officer “Stupid and White”, the trial hears | Football news

Chelsea’s striker Sam Kerr allegedly called the Metropolitan cop “Stupid and White” after a series with a taxi driver, the court heard.

The Australian Football Star is a trial charged with causing a racially worse harassment of PC Stephen Lovella during an incident in the southwest of London in the early hours of January 30, 2023.

Prosecutor Bill Emlyn Jones KC said Kingston Crown Court that Kerr and her partner, a colleague of footballer Kristiie Mewis, drank when a taxi driver drove them to the Twickenham Police Station, who complained that passengers refuse to pay for cleaning costs.

The driver claimed that one of the women was sick and that one broke the rear window of a black cab.

At the police station, 31-year-old Kerr allegedly became “violent and abusive” according to PC Lovell.

The shots from the officer’s camera that was worn out showed Kerr that PC Lovell and PC Samuel Limb said she and Mrs. Mewis “very scared” and “tried to escape” when they damaged the vehicle.

He hears saying, “I hate to break it on you, but when the male drives af ***** g car, for us, for two women, it’s f **** d, it’s f *** ** g scary. “

Kerr can also be heard of saying to two police officers: “This taxi driver held me and her hostage for about 15 minutes.

“I was like,” Please let us go and I’ll pay for everything you want. “

“We asked for us to get out. We were trying to escape – we were trapped.

“You have to understand the urgent situation we both felt. What do you expect to do as women in that situation?”

She also said at one point that “she would get lawyers F ***** G Chelsea.”

Kerr and Ms Mewis also appear in the drunken and trouble, and Mrs. Mewis – who plays for West Ham United – is crying visibly.

The couple also accused officers of believed in the version of a taxi driver’s events through their own.

PC Lovell, who gave evidence on Monday, said the jury that Kerr’s comments were “stupid and white” made to feel “upset”.

He also said that Kerr referred to how much money he had, which he said he was “like trying to be belittled.”

KERR’s defense lawyer must be crossed by the trial when the trial continues on Tuesday.

Kerr is one of the world’s best strikers and the Australian best scorer with 69 goals, but has been on the side since he suffered an anterior cross ligament injury in January 2024.

Her trial is expected to conclude this week.
