Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) was appointed by Rajat Patidar with a new team captain for the IPL 2025 season. After his appointment, RCB chief coach Andy Flower opened his decision and revealed the explanation of Patidar’s appointment for the role.
Rajat Patidar was among the contestants of the captain. However, with several proven performers such as Virat Kohli, the Pandya and Bhuvenshwar Kumar crown, it seemed that Patidar gave that responsibility.
But the RCB team administration has decided to believe the Madhya Pradesh body, which also has experience in running its home side. RCB fans will hope to change the wealth of the team under Patidar.

The main coach of RCB, Andy Flower, spoke about the elevation of Rajat Patidar to the captain. Asked about the decision, Flower claimed that Patidar had the qualities to be the leader and that he watched carefully when he led his home team Madhya Pradesh this season.
