Greenberg’s parents have been demanding a new investigation for years. Recently, last week, Shapiro said the investigation of his office “pointed to suicide” in an interview with WHTM-TV.

But the alleged motivation to do nothing with the case may have been as simple as the victory of the vote, Brennan said.
