Philippine Voice Parliament to abolish Vice President
The Philippine Parliament voted to abolish Vice -President Sara Duterte after complaint with alleged corruption.
Duterte, the daughter of former President Rodriga Duterte, has been charged with abuse of millions of dollars in public resources and Threatening that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr will kill.
She denied the charges and claimed that she was a victim of political vendets.
The shock move is widely considered the escalation of Duterte’s bitter quarrel with Marcos, who held the nation on the verge of months.
A total of 215 of the 306 members of the House of Representatives voted for the Imperatin, significantly above one third threshold required to be issued.
The proposal of the law will now listen to the 24-member Senate, which will be convened as a court for imperine.
If he proclaims himself, Duterte is facing removal and disqualification from public duties, and would be the first vice -president in the Philippine history to be abolished.
He is expected to remain in power until the Senate brings his judgment.
