Here, expressed attitudes are exclusively those authors and do not necessarily represent the views of freight waves or his branches.

Letter to Mike Bookout is a misconception and filled with wrong presentations.

Here’s a real story:

As many readers know, I was an investor in Mycarrier, and Project44 (P44) and Mycarrier had long -time partnerships aimed at innovation in the LTL industry. In fact, data and products of the P44 have launched the Mycarrier platform since its founding in 2017.

From the first day of the P44, with a considerable discount, he licensed his information, API -is and mycarrier analytics -in -far below the market value. We invested this because we believed in the partnership and potential to transform LTL digitally. For years, Mycarrier was one of the largest P44 users, to greatly rely on our technology, including the EBOL, which the P44 launched in 2019.

Until 2023, as the original contract with deeply reduced prices expired, the P44 made it clear that mycarrier had two options:

  1. Partly by agreement, with the P44 even offering to help mycarrier to build his own carrier integration.

  2. Sign a new five -year contract, with rates that would gradually increase over time to match market rates.

Mycarrier decided to stay and signed a new five -year contract in October 2023. The agreement included the standard clause “No Construction” and the Clausule on the non-conciseness-to-to-consent, to which Mycarrier agreed without a reservation and had similar clauses in the 2017 Agreement.

At that time, Mycarrier assured the P44 that he had not intended to compete and was just looking for a limited, unconcactional connection for his TMS. However, the documents obtained by a court order speak a different story.

While negotiating a new contract, Mycarrier had already planned to break him.

  • Just a few days before the contract signing, Mycarrier hired an API expert and hired a team in Serbia to build a replacement for the P44 Platform.

  • Internal MyCarrier documents reveal that the company’s CTO estimated that their “proxy system” was 18 months after completion – proving that it was a dedicated effort to abolish the P44 while still using our services.

At the end of 2023 and early 2024. Mycarrier requested the custom changes of Ebola. Due to the priority of the resources, the P44 did not immediately implement them, but by mid -2024. These changes were enabled.

Nevertheless, Mycarrier launched his own EBOL system anyway, though:

  • Ebol was involved in their contract with the P44, and they still used the P44 to send thousands of Ebola every day.

  • Project44 is still the largest Ebola supplier in the world, and in June 2024 alone, he processes 99,000 NMFT EBOLA in accordance with NMFTA, which is far more than any competitor.

  • In April 2024, the P44 introduced an EBOL that in accordance with the NMFTA and continued to invest in improvements specific to the carriers.
