Bill Demory, a former striker for New York Jets In the 1970s, he died earlier this month, according to the network published online. He was 74 years old.
Demomy fought against prostate cancer and Parkinson’s disease, according to AZ Central. The obituary said he died “calm” on February 14th.

He was born in Iowa, but moved to Arizona with his family when he was young and attended high school in Phoenix. He attended University of Arizona And he was a return shot for Wildcats three seasons before he turned.
In 27 collegial games, Demomy had 3,268 passing meters and 28 passages. Arizona did not have a winning record when he was there.

He joined Jetsu in 1973 and started in three of the six games in which he played. He had 159 passing meters, two passes for Touchdown and eight intercepts that season. He was in a return blow that were Al Woodall and Joe Namath. New York ended 4-10 that season.
In 1974, the Jets were 7-7, and Namath led the charge. Demory never saw the field.
Arizona Central noted that before Nick Foles started the game at NFL, Demory was one of the three attackers playing in Arizona and started the NFL game. Eddie Wilson and Fred Enke were the other two.
Demory was later a professor of economics in Arizona western and Central Arizona College from 1999 to 2016 and an auxiliary teacher on Community College Mesa from 1998 to 2024.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren, two stepmother and brother.
