Naomi Girma in line for Chelsea’s debut after the rehabilitation of injury
Chelsea chief coach Sonia Bompastor confirmed that Naomi Girma could make his debut when the women’s super league returns on Sunday.
The 24-year-old is yet to introduce Blues after World-Record $ 1.1 million (£ 890,000) Move from San Diego Wave January, and was not selected by the Women’s Team of the United States (Nawnt) for the Shebelieves Cup campaign, instead continuing to rehabilitate injuries at Chelsea’s training in Cobham.

“Naomi should be on the match team on Sunday,” the former Lyon chief confirmed. “We practiced really well during these two weeks. We brought some of the boys and we had the best players from the Academy for Girls, and I think we had a nice environment for them.”
Girma, 44-Cap International, is considered one of the world’s best veterans and is expected to have a major impact on WSL leaders.
