Lim Kim resisted Nelly Kord’s pressure to win the LPGA season opener at the Hilton Grand Vacational Champion Tournament.
Kim responded to the late charge of Corda with three birds on her last four holes for 5-Ispod 67 and a win with two goals on Sunday in Orlando.
Korda, going out of the season with seven wins, made a three -meter bird in 15th. 15 place to make the lead valve.
But Kim was in the last group behind her and stored her with that bird that she took the lead.
Kim caught control with a 20-foot bird in 16th place for a two-goal lead, and 18th took away the wire wire with a 25-meter bird’s Putta.
“So fun, so good. And then I’m hungry,” Kim said as she asked to describe how she felt.
Korda closed 65 on Lake Non to start the season with finish.
She had five birds and a couple of Bogey on the front nine to hit the lead, and finally pulled her even with her short bird 15. – But only briefly.
“Not bad,” Korda said. “I will never complain in the second place in the tournament and give him running, especially on Sunday.
“I would definitely have a few buds I would like to bring back, but as a whole I think I’m very pleased with these weeks and excited for next week.”
Linn Grant from Sweden shot 69 and finished third, five shots behind. Minjee Lee shot 62 and fourth with Jin Young Ko (65).
Kim, a 29-year-old South Korea, best known for his open title of women in 2020 at the Champions Golf Club in Houston, now has three LPGA titles. This was her second direct victory in which she never lagged behind after any round, after doing the same last year in Hawaii.
She ended up with 20 under 268 and won $ 300,000.
Korda and defender Lydia who started with four shootings in the last round. Lydia who fell early with a pace with three bugs in the opening of six holes, and she never caused herself again.
She shot 70 and finished sixth.
