Newcastle United brought out in Central Bek Lloyd Kelly, who joined Juventus on loan on the eve of a permanent switch in summer.
Kelly moved to Newcastle only in the summer, joining a free transfer when his Bournemouth contract expired. He was a regular starter at first, but quickly lost his place under Eddie Howe, who handed Kelly only four minutes in the last 12 Newcastle 12 Premier League matches.
Juventus approached Newcastle With the aim of signing a permanently, Kelly is now reached to take the 26-year-old to Italy.
Kelly joins Juventus at the initial loan agreement, but Serie A side has an obligation to make a move permanent summer. Reports suggest that the fee included could increase as much as £ 20m.
It is a smart business for Newcastle, who regularly complained about the fear of violating the rules of profit and sustainability of the Premier League. Kelly’s departure is pure profit because only six months ago it was signed for free.
Kelly follows Miguel Almiron’s exit door. Paraguay International returned to Major League Soccer from Atlanta United Parting with around £ 8m to reach an agreement.
