IPL 2025 layout, start date, place of completed BCCI; RCB is set to play the tournament


The official schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) has yet to be announced, and the crisis lovers are eagerly awaiting details, including places. According to the CRICBUZZ report, it is expected that the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin in the iconic gardens of Eden on March 22.

All 10 franchises will have a fresh look after a mega auction held last November. The teams could retain up to six players, including the option of a match right, ahead of the auction. They built the rest of their team for the IPL 2025 season through a two -day mega auction in Jedda, Saudi Arabia.

Wickeket-Batter Rishabh Pant has become the most expensive player in IPL history. He was chosen by Lucknow Super Giants for record RS 27 crowns. Shreyas Iyer Middle Order was the second most expensive player on the auction, as Punjab Kings (PBKS) selected him for 26.75 crowns.

Kolkat Knight Riders to take over Royal Challengers Bengalur in IPL 2025 opener

The Indian Premier League 2025 was initially scheduled to start on March 14 with a match between the Knight Riders (KKR) champion defenders and Sunrizes Hyderabad (SRH). However, according to the CRICBUZZ report, Kolkata Knight Riders will take over the Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) on March 2nd.

Sunrizes Hyderabad, last year’s runners, will play their introductory game on March 23 against Rajasthan Royals (RR), led by Sanja Samson, at the International Stadium Rajiv Gandhi. The complete schedule of BCCI has not yet officially announced, but it is expected that it will be announced soon.

According to the report, BCCI has already distributed the keys to the IPL franchises. Earlier, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla hinted that the IPL 2025 season would start on March 2nd. However, after a special assembly (SGM) on January 12 in Mumbai, the Committee allegedly revised the start date.

Kolkat will host the Indian Premier League final on May 25th.

The report also added that the final match of the Marquee tournament would take place on May 25 at Eden Gedens in Kalcuta, after the tradition of the hosts of the finals at the home ground of the champion veterans.

In addition to the last match, Kolkat will host qualifier 2. Meanwhile, qualifier 1 and the eliminator will be held at Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Nokaut matches dates are not detected in the report.

Guwahati and Dharamsala hosted matches during the IPL 2025

In addition to 10 regular places, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengalur, Lucknow, Mullanpur, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkuta and Hyderabad, some matches will be played in Guwahati and Dharamsali during the tournament.

Rajasthan Royals will play two home games against Kolkat Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati on March 26 and 30. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings will play several of his home games in Dharamsa.
