Growing up on the fifth generation farm of my family in Garretson, southern Dakota, I saw these challenges develop over the years and today, Farmers across the country Face some of the greatest ones so far.
Our family produces corn, soybean, lucher and small cereals – many crops that support our food supply and maintain our economy strong. But farms like our strong on each side become more extreme.

Good news? We have the right tools at our disposal for the preservation of our country and the protection of our business. At the end of the day, for farmers like me, to be a good manager is just a good job. Since extreme time made agriculture difficult, cutting these programs would leave us more vulnerable and less capable of production of food on which they depend on our community. We need constant support to keep this progress forward – and also my fellow farmers across the country.
