As New Yorkers Continue acidic on Adams, according to the latest polls, these same studies also indicate that Cuomo is a clear leader. But now that the mayoral race in 2025 was obvious that Cuomo lost, his rivals were zero on the immense political luggage of a former governor.

Partly thanks to his almost universal recognition of the name among New York, Cuomo was at the top of the mayor polling station even before he announced his candidacy on March 1.

And Cuomo, who enjoys the support of a well-funded Super PAC who supported the ally with deep pockets, held his position to lead in the latest research, from Quinnipiac University.

Cuomo triggers an offer of mayor in the largest American city

The study, conducted just before and immediately after Cuomo launched his offer, pointed to a former governor with 31% support among registered Democrats in New York, and Adams is second with 11%.

Behind Adams, in one -core digit, was the rest of the list of Democrats who aimed to overthrow the mayor.

This field includes Zohran Mamdani’s State MP, City Professor Jumaane Williams, former city supervisor of Scott Stringer, current city supervisor Brad Lander, President of the Adrienne Adams City Council – who launched his offer after releasing a poll – as well as two state senators and a former state gathering.

The same study also found that Adam’s approval rating among the New York voters was only 20%, which was the lowest for any New York mayor in three decades of quinnipiac survey in the city.

Adams’s number of surveys sank before being charged with five points last year, which accused the mayor of receiving bribes and fraud as part of the alleged “long” scheme to personally profit from contacts with foreign officials.

The mayor made a repeated overture with the President now Donald TrumpAnd in recent weeks, the Ministry of Justice has rejected the charges of corruption, so that he could seem to cooperate with Trump’s administration on his illegal immigration action.

The best federal prosecutor in New York resigned and did not adhere to and claimed that the mayor agreed to Quid Pro quo with the Ministry of Justice.

“This story has become bigger than a mere New York because it now includes Trump’s administration, all of which scales on the mayor’s state among the voters,” said Mary Snow, Assistant Director of the Quinnipiac University, for Fox News.

The 67-year-old Cuomo wants to re-introduce voters as a manager tested, a strong executive director and as a moderate law and orders that will save a city that he says “feels threatening, beyond control and in crisis.”

In his first campaign event after announcing, Cuomo announced huge projects for the renovation of UI’s infrastructure around New York, operated during his decade during the Governor, which included Lagaardia Airport, Moynihan Tinhan Hall and Most M. Cuomo, who renamed after his father.

But some of his rivals in the mayoral race and many critics have been aiming at Cuomo since he launched his campaign, because of his many transgressions as a governor.

Cuomo has spent the last four years struggling to clean his name after 11 charges of sexual harassment-which has repeatedly denied-he argued in August 2021. He was also under investigation for acting with a forged pandemia in the midst of charges, his administration, an insult in state sister correspondence.

AND Siena College Survey Conducted from March 2 to March 6, he indicated that Cuom’s favorable rating among all New York state voters was 37% favorable and 51% unfavorable, which is 32% -60% in March 2022, seven months after he resigned as a governor.

But Cuom’s favorable rating among New York voters in a new survey was above water, of 48%-41%.

Rich Azzopardi, a longtime spokesman and advisor to Cuomo, told Fox News: “We usually do not comment on surveys, but it is observed that in this study 48-41 is among all voters in New York and 57-29 among black voters.”

Azzopardi claimed that Cuomo “far ahead of every survey of the mayor’s race is because New Yorkers know that this city is in crisis, and Andrew Cuomo is a candidate with experience, record and possibility to save him.”

But with three and a half months until the first June 24, there is no incentive in the attacks on Cuomo from his rivals.

“The question is: (a) How many problems will the candidates make Cuom’s luggage in the campaign and (b) will that strategy resonate with the voters?” Quinnipiac asked.
