At least one person was killed in an Israeli attack of drones on the vehicle in the south of Lebanon, just a day after the Israeli troops withdrew from most border areas.
The Lebanese State National News Agency (NNA) reported that “an enemy drones hit a vehicle … on Wednesday in the city of Aita al-Shaaab”.
Sadan, an al Jazeera fact verification agency, identified the victim as Yusuf Mohammed Sorour, a son of the mayor of the city, aimed at sitting in a car in front of his house.
Nna previously reported that in a separate attack, one person was wounded in the Wazzani region after the Israeli forces opened fire “while residents inspected” restaurants and cafes in the area.
Nna also reported that the Israeli forces fired towards houses near the town of Sheba.
The fire interruption agreement agreed in November 2024.
