Emma Raducan opens about meeting ‘fixed’ fans at the Dubai Championship

Emma Raducan spoke of her “difficult experience” that includes a “fixed” fan on Tennis championship in Dubai This week.
The emotional Raducan approached the chair judge during the first set of his match against Carolina Muchava on Tuesday night after seeing fans in the stands, which had previously approached her a day earlier.

WTA explained that “the man who exposed the fixed behavior” approached 2021 Open champion in a public space on Monday. The man was then seen the next day on his match in the first few rows.
According to the Government of the Media Office in Dubai, the man “left her note” and also photographed it.
“After the appeal of Raducanu, the police in Dubai detained a tourist who approached her, left her a note, took pictures and dealt with behavior caused by trouble during Dubai’s free tennis championship,” the statement said.

“Hard experience yesterday, but I’ll be good and proud of how I came back and competed despite what happened at the beginning of the match,” Raducan wrote. “Thank you Karolina for being a great sport for her and happy for the rest of the tournament.”
Raducan received a five -year restraining order against a man in London in 2022 after being found guilty of passing. The man appeared in her home several times and left unwanted gifts. She was 19 at the time.
