Dr. Congo singer killed while shooting a video in a conflict hit by Gom
The popular musician in the Democratic Republic of Congo was killed while shooting a musical video in a conflict between the eastern town of Gom.
The body of Delphina’s floor of Vinywasiki, better known as Delcat Idengo, was found on the street on Thursday, and the head was partially covered with blood. Unconfirmed reports say the artist is shot.
Idengo, known for his poems critical and of the Government and the rebels, was among the hundreds of prisoners who fled from prison in Goma after the M23 militants seized the city last month.
The east of the DR Congo is imbued with the struggle as an armed group, and the army is fighting for controlling the regions rich in minerals.
It is not clear who was behind the murder.
The musician just released a song called Bunduki (which means “weapon” to Swahili), condemning the rebel occupation in the crowd.

According to witnesses, Idengo, who wore military pants for the video, died on the spot after the attack.
The Congenian Ministry of Arts and Culture described the incident as a “assassination”.
