DP World Tour: Laurie Canter Triumphs in the playoffs of the Bahrein Championship after Pablo Larrazabal Nightmare | Golf news
England Laurie Canter claimed that the second title of a World DP tour in a career in the three players at the Bahrein Championship Bapco Energies, after Pablo Larrazabal dramatically corrupted his own chance to win.
Spanish Larrazabal appeared that he took advantage of his 10th career victory while descending on the 18th last round, holding a lead with one shooting over the English duet of Canter and Dan Brown, who were at the club house at the age of 14.
But despite finding green with his second shooting in the final hole of the par-four, the 41-year-old seemed to let his nerves better while shot by three with 41 meters to record his only circle circle and fell into the playoffs.

Canter started a fine -style year in the Middle East, and the Bahrein’s victory comes two weeks after ending the third in Hero Dubai dessert Classic. He was also part of the UK and Ireland team, which beat the Continental Europe in the Ryder Cup team Cup in Abu Dabi in early January.
The 35-year-old, who won his maiden DP World Tour at The European Open in Germany last June, will now move from his current world rank of 89, while he is now in second place Tyrell Hatton in the early race to Dubai.
“He feels great. I really had to hang myself in the first few rounds this week. I achieved nicely, but not a great teenager for green, somehow well putting, and then I talked to my coach last night … and he gave me A few ideas just to improve my iron game.
“Today I hit the ball perfectly, then I put it awful, so it was kind of going. But I died so much that I got stuck there.
“Unfortunately, what happened to Pabl, but it’s only absolutely enthusiastic about getting stuck and achieved another victory.”

Canter added, “Now I am completely headed by trying to climb the world chart.
“This will get some points to me and I don’t have much to defend me, so I’ll try to do everything I can to get caught in that Top 50 and open up the possibilities that brings it.
“I’m not that far now and it’s great to have that target.”
