Donald Trump said he could announce reciprocal tariffs next week on several other countries, pushing now closer to the beginning of a trade war with a multiple front.
Asked by a journalist at a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishib about his plans for further restrictions on commercial partners, the US president said he plans to hold a press conference to address the topic next week.
“I’ll announce that next week, a reciprocal store, so we treat other countries evenly,” he told reporters at the White House on Friday. Trump has repeatedly warned the campaign trace last year to impose universal Tariff to import to the US.
Earlier this week Trump Suspended until March 1, his plan imposes steep Tarife Mexico and Canada, two largest trade partners in the US, but continued with a new 10 -long charge on imports from China.
