China has now accused of presenting “unfounded and false accusations” of his role in Fentanil’s trade in order to justify the tariffs on Chinese products.

The appeal was filed with the World Trade Organization (WTO) the day after US President Donald Trump picked up border tax on Chinese goods by 10%, which he said was intended to resolve inflows of illegal drugs.

In the submission, China said that the measures were “discriminatory and protectionist” and violated the rules of the world trade.

The dispute comes because Trump’s plans for tariffs – a tax he said he wanted to see imposed on all foreign shipments in the country – cause uncertainty throughout the global trade landscape.

Trump said that tariffs would encourage companies to make their products in the US, expressing repeated concerns about the size of a trade deficit.

But his actions against China – which threatened to expand to other countries, including Canada, Mexico and Europe – caused concerns about their impact on the economy, including the US, because companies respond to trade uncertainty by keeping in investments or Passable about new costs to customers.

Imports in the United States hit the highest record in December, as companies responded to tariff threats, racing to provide toys, mobile phones and computers.

The value of the goods brought to the United States has jumped 4% from November to $ 293.1 billion, which is the highest since the record of 1992 began, the Ministry of Trade said on Wednesday.

The ascent also contributed to the widest trade deficit or the gap between exports and imports in almost two years.

The tariffs also caused political tension, including retaliation from China, which responded to Trump’s move with tariffs on American goods and anti-monopolic probe of Google, among other measures.

The speed at which China has filed a WTO appeal is an indicator of Beijing’s willingness for a trade fight.

Bloomberg also reported on Wednesday that the Anti -Monopoli regulator of the country is being prepared for the possible investigation of Apple policies and applications trading fees, hits the company’s shares.

Trump moves – which included ordering end treatment for plots worth less than $ 800 – will be the main “shock” for some companies, such as Shein and the topic, because they impair the possibility of an ultra -price offer, said Mark Williams, Main Chinese economist in the capital economy.

But he said that he thought of China as a whole that the effects of Trump’s tariff would not be too harmful.

“For the wider Chinese economy, this is definitely managed,” he said.

The WTO procedures give the US -II 60 days to resolve their dispute through counseling, at what point, China has the right to request a judgment by the court.

But it is not clear how effective the cure will be.

Finally, the WTO Council resolving trade disputes remains incapable of functioning, as the US refuses to approve the appointment of new judges to the body.

The United States also neglected the previous WTO finding that earlier tariffs on steel and aluminum were imposed during Trump’s first term were against the rules.

In December, China ranked as a county with the greatest deficit of goods, and now he sent $ 25.3 billion than he bought.

The European Union, the target of Trump’s tariff threats, had the second biggest gap.

On the contrary, now they enjoyed a small excess of $ 2.3 billion at the Rob store with the UK.

Overall, a trade deficit in the US, including services, increased 17% last year to a total of $ 918.4 billion, as imports increased faster than exports.

In December, a trade deficit in the goods and services was $ 98.4 billion, which is mostly since March 2022, the trade department said.
