Canela Alvarez options for fighting #1 and #3 have been discovered for his new agreement on four fights between him and the Riyadh season. The name of David Benavidez is not among the possibilities of four fights.
On the possibility of fighting no. 1 and #3, there is one good name, Dmitry buffalo. He is a good name, but he could do it on the list if he loses his rematch against the undisputed heavyweight champion of Arthur Beterbiev this month. The buffalo is easily the best name.
It would be great if Beterbiev would be added if the winner was against Dmitry in their rematch on February 2nd, but it is unlikely that Canelo would agree to fight him.
Beterbiev is too much threat to knockout, and Canelo would never agree to face someone like him. The buffalo is fine because it cannot be hit and retreat when he presses.
Former world champion in two divisions Jermall Charlo He is one of the options for the first fight of the contract with four battles of Canela on May 4th. 35-year-old Jermall (33-0, 22 KO) has only fought once in the last four years since 2021, and is currently inactive since 2023.

Fans who followed the sport four years ago remember Charla, and maybe they would be interested if he was chosen as Canel’s opponent for his first fight. However, he was so inactive that he was no longer popular with fans. He would not have shot the world title coming out of two years of dismissal.
It would not be fair for Jermall to be a challenge for the world title to skip the competitors waiting for a shot in Canela. Moreover, fans could confuse him with his brother, Jermell Charla, whom Canelo defeated a one -sided unanimous decision in 12 laps in 2023. Jermell just ran around the ring throughout the fight, not even trying to win.
