The Brazilian former leader Jair Bolsonaro is formally charged with making a conspiracy for a coup on to hold him in power after losing his election in 2022 to President Luiz in Anácio Lula da Silva.
The hard right of politicians was accused by the State Attorney in the country of leading the “criminal organization” to submit a democracy in the most populous nation of Latin America.
Prosecutors said 33 more persons were included in conspiracy including BolsonaroGeneral candidate for vice president Walter Braga Netto and almost two dozen retired or serving higher military personnel.
Part of the conspiracy included plans for the assassination of the pipe to prevent him from taking his post, prosecutors claim.
