Boxing Results: Duarte stops Madueno in Slugfest
Oscar Duarte knocked out former champion WBO Latino Miguel ‘Explosivo’ Maduena in the seventh round of Real Slugfest on Saturday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. In cooperation, the super -middle weight of Darius ‘DFG’ Fulghum stopped Wilfred Harris, younger in four rounds.
Duarte, 29-2-1 (23) stopped Miguel ‘Explosivo’ Madueno, 31-4 (28) at 2:09 seventh round of 12 rounds scheduled.
In the first round they both had their moments. In the second round, the late Sub Madueno kept in Slugfest. In the third round, Duarte landed near, but a low blow, which Judge Thomas Taylor called Okaj. Madueno did not return enough, moving all over the ring. In the fourth round, Duarta roaming a madman with his left hook on his chin, but let him go home from the hook.
In the last minute of the fifth round, Duarte opened the cut on Maduen’s left eyebrow, causing a real Slugfest. In the sixth round, for the late Sub, Madueno held his own, even though the duture took another circle. In the seventh round, Dure pulled Madueno on his feet as Judge Thomas Taylor entered, stopping.

In the first round they both were not impressive, with too much posture. In the second round, the murder followed to the right on the Fulghum’s beard lowered Harris for 8 counts from Raya Corone’s judge. In the third round, Fulghum injured Harris early, but Harris managed to go through the circle. Before starting the next round, Ref Corona checked a doctor with the Harris ring.
In the fourth round, Fulghum hurt Harris and did not defend himself enough when Ref Coron finally came in, calling for stopping.
WBC Silver category champion Ricardo ‘El Nino’ Sandoval, 26-2 (18) beat Nabf Fly Champ Saleto ‘Mr. Personal ‘Henderson, 10-2 (7) by a unanimous decision of 10 rounds.
In the first round, shorter Henderson showed his faster hands, holding against the favored Sandal. From the second to the sixth round, Sandoval had a edge because he worked much better than much better than expected.
In the seventh round they both had their moments. The audience was for Sandoval, who had to work more than expected against the much inexperienced Henderson. Sandoval had a small cut on his left eyebrow. In the ninth round, Henderson was still in the fight against all the chances. In the tenth and last rounds, Sandol won the fight, but he expected stopping, and Henderson hung there.
The results were 98-92, 100-90 and 100-90.
Welterweight Ken ‘Bossman’ Sims, Jr., 22–1 (8) beat Kendo ‘Termondo’ Castaneda, 21-8 (9), an irregular decision in a 10-round fight that seemed quite competitive.
In the second round, they both turned south as Sims went to the body, taking another circle. In the fourth round, Sims hurt Castaneda with his right hand to his body. Castaneda ended the circle from Southpaw, landing four irresponsible right hooks on the head of Sims.
They both went to the body in the sixth round as Sims continued to land more, but Castaneda never stopped going forward. In the seventh round, Castaneda hurt Simsa with a combination to Midway’s chin, which was both a good circle for fans, and Castaneda took the circle.
Castaneda ended up late in the seventh and eighth rounds, taking her third round in a row. The tenth and last rounds were the best circle of fighting, with them both letting everything hanging out. Castaneda landed six left hooks on Simo’s head in the last seconds.
The judge was Ray Coron. Results 98-92, 99-91 and 99-91 seemed too much for SIMS, JR.
Joel Iriarte, 6-0 (6) stopped Daniel Harris, 19-24-2 (14) in 1:21 second circle of six rounds scheduled.
In the first round of Iriarth, a combination of 3 shooting with the final chopping right on the head of Harris, throwing it for 8 numbers from Ray Judge Armendariz just before Bell against the late SUB in Harris. In the second round, on Midway Point, Iriarte landed a short left top on his chin, hitting Harris into the ropes and throwing Harris into the corner as Judge Armendariz waved from his mismatch.
Cruiserweight Yair Gallardo, 8-0 (7), knocked out Carlos ‘instruction’ Miranda, 7-2 (3), in 1:41 first round of eight rounds scheduled.
In the first round, Gallardo landed the upper incision right on the beard, followed by a few more blows to the body, dropping Miranda as Judge Thomas Taylor counted him.
The light Daniel ‘Junebug’ Garcia, 11-0 (9) knocked out Francisco Pacheco, 7-4-2) at 2:40 of the third round of six rounds scheduled.
In the first round, the conflict of the head caused a cut at the top of Pachec’s head. In the second round, Garcia pulled blood out of Pachec’s nose with his right hand. In the third round, the bleeding from the nose continued as Garcia surpassed Pacheco, lowering him with his left body as Judge Ray Corona counted him on his knee.
Super Bantamweight Southpaw Gael ‘El Terorista’ Cabrera, 7-0 (4) beat Robert ‘Escorpion’ Puchet, 14-26-3 (8) by a decision of six rounds.
In the first four rounds of Cabrera, she took Puchet, who was an aggressor. In the sixth and last round, the 20-year-old remained undefeated, taking all six rounds.
The results were 60-54, 60-54 and 60-54.
Fabian Guzman Middle Weight, 6-0 (6) beat Daniela Lima, 11-3 (3) by a decision of six circles.
The super light Javier Mesa (2-0, 2 ko) knocked out Lyle McFarlane (3-7, 1 ko) in 2:15 second round of four bullets scheduled.
The meza McFarlane went to his feet in the second round, which is why Judge Raymond Armendariz called stopping.
Kevin Gudino (2-0 (2) Bantam, stopped Kenario Davidson (1-2) at 0:35 third round scheduled for four rounds.
In the third round, the combination of Gudina dropped Davidson, forcing Judge Chris Leben to wave him.
