Data and damage are still evaluated after firefighters saved workers from flames in Buzan City.

At least six people were killed in a fire at the hotel site in the port of Busan in South Korea, where firefighters still assess the damage.

The fire broke out around the middle of the morning on Friday and it seems that it quickly escalated, reports South Korea’s news agency Yonhap.

Busan City Fire Department scheduled 90 firefighters to extinguish the flames and use helicopters to rescue workers trapped in a multi -stest building – including 14 from the roof.

“We are currently searching for the interior of the building,” said the fire official, Yonhap reports. “Police and local government determine the exact number of workers [who were inside]. “

The television shots of the fire showed smoke that poured from a modern high glass glass building, according to the Associated Press news agency. More than 100 people were evacuated from the scene, but it was not immediately clear if all workers were saved.

At least seven people were injured in the fire, Yonhap reported, although there are still injuries.

The acting president of South Korea Choi Sang-Mok said that “all available staff and equipment” were arranged at the scene.

Although the origin of the fire is still unknown, the media is associated with insulating material stored on the first floor of the construction site.

The hotel reportedly belongs to Banyan Treeu, a luxury hotel and a Singapore resort, Yonhap reports.

Blaze is the second big fire incident in Busan in recent weeks.

On January 28, Air Busan aircraft caught fire shortly after taking off from Busanan’s Gimhae International Airport, but all passengers and crew were certainly evacuated.

The fire is credited with a laptop of the plane storage in an overhead aircraft.
