Australia is ready to visit West India immediately after the World Cup finals in South Africa in June in Lord’s. The tour consists of a test series with three matches and a T20i series with five games.
The tour also indicates their first test series on the Caribbean after a decade. It will also be the first time that both teams will lock the horns with each other in Grenada, where another test series will be played.

The tour was confirmed by the host Committee of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The series will start on the iconic Kensington oval in Barbados, where the first test will be held from June 25. Grenada St. George’s will host a second test from July 3.
The test series will be concluded in Kingston, Jamaica, where the third and last test will be played from July 12. The last time these two teams played each other in the West Indies test series, 2015, when Australia won a two-match test series 2-0.
After the test series, both teams will play with each other in five T20i. Jamaica, which will host a third test, will host the first two T20I. The last three T20I will be played in St. Kitts.
The tour had to be of two trials earlier, three Odra -and three T20I when the current Future Tours (FTP) program was published in 2022. However, since the next game of the World Cup in 2027, both plates agreed to be removed. Oat and play more tests and t20i.
Why has the schedule changed?
CA Nick Hockley Executive Director has already invited the test series with three matches earlier after the last series between the two teams produced an exciting competition. These two teams played each other in a test series in Australia last time when a two-match test series ended 1-1.
Aussies convincingly won the first test, while West Indies won the second test in Gabbi in an exciting way on the back of superlative feat Shamar Joseph. The decision to add additional T20I was made in mind the T20 World Cup 2026.
“Australia and West Indies share a rich history and we are delighted with the test series extended to three matches. The series will start the next World Cup cycle in the World Test Championship and, as we saw last summer, we will have to be our best to keep the Frank Worrell trophy “Said CA General Ca -a Ben Oliver.
“Additional T20 matches against the dynamic West Indies team will also give a great opportunity to progress our preparations for the next T20 World Cup, which is now only 12 months,” he added.

Aus vs wo head-head in tests
Australia was a far dominant team in tests against West Indies. Both teams played 105 tests against each other in which Australia won 50, while West Indies became winning in 31 matches.
Prior to Gabba test in 2024, West Indies only won once in 30 tests since the beginning of this century. However, since the test team of West Indies is increasing, this series promises to be tight.
