American Star Shiffrin fighting with PTSD after a collision, won’t defend a giant title slalom in Ska Worlds

Mikaela Shiffrin says that after a collision in November, he deals with a post-traumatic stress disorder and will not defend his gold medal in a giant slalom at the Alpine Skiing World Championship.

Whatever shiffrin stabs in her fall on Killington, she almost pierced her abdominal wall and colon. Last month, she told the Associated Press that the “millimeter of being quite catastrophic” was injured.

Shiffrin also had a rapid drop last season at Cortini D’A ampezzo in Italy, which held her out of six weeks. She talked about her fears with a psychologist, said Megan Harrod, a spokeswoman for Shifffrina.
