The FAA Academy in Oklahoma struggled to fulfill the classrooms because of the Dei quota, says Senator Mullin
Senator Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla, on Saturday said “Fox News Live” that the Academy of Federal Airline (FAA) in Oklahoma struggled to fulfill the classrooms because of Dei quotas.
“Where the FAA air traffic controllers are trained are just here within Oklahome, in Oklahoma City,” Mullin said. “It’s their training center and I’ll tell you that we were hard to fulfill the hours because of Dei.”
Flight safety has become a topic of discussion this week after colliding on Wednesday with a American Airlines plane and a military helicopter outside the National Airport of Reagan. Two days later on Friday, a medical jet crashed on the street near the Roosevelt Shopping Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mullin claimed that Dei may have played a role in the absence of ready -to -go willing, especially after a collision outside the National Airport Reagan. He said that focusing on employment of “the best and brightest individuals” is a far more reliable strategy than focusing on politics “diversity, equality and involvement”.
At the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, Dei policies resulted in the class did not use the ability to meet the Dei quota, Mullin said.
“Instead of these classes 100% full, we were at 80% or 70%, which was not of the lack of individuals who signed up for it, except that each class had a ratio they had to have on it,” Senator said .

Mullin praised the president Donald Trump for a strong attitude against Dei after taking over duties.
“President Trump is absolutely right,” Mullin said. “When you do not hire people based on merit and expertise; you employ them based on diversity, equality and involvement, then it has a huge problem that goes forward for us.”
FAA did not immediately respond to a comment request from Fox News Digital.
