Zuckerberg says a Rogan Biden administrator would ‘scream’ and ‘cuss’ at his employees, demanding censorship
Meta Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg told podcaster Joe Rogan that members of President Biden’s administration yelled at his employees, demanding that they take down content on their behalf.
Meta recently announced that it will be ending its controversial fact-checking practices and lifting speech restrictions to “restore free expression” on Facebook, Instagram and the Meta platforms, acknowledging that current content moderation practices “have gone too far.” Zuckerberg has spoken about the platform’s struggles to maintain freedom of expression while fending off pressure from the Biden administration amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“During the Biden administration, when they were trying to get the vaccine program going,” he said social media The CEO said, “while they were trying to push that program, they were also trying to censor anyone who was basically against it. And they were pushing us hard to take down things that were honest, that were true. They were basically pushing us and saying , you know, that ‘anything that says vaccines might have side effects, you basically have to remove.’ And I said, ‘We’re not going to do that, obviously we’re not going to do that, I mean, that’s definitely true in a way.”
“Who are they?” Rogan asked. “Who told you to remove things that talk about vaccine side effects?”
“They were people from the Biden administration,” said Meta’s executive director.
He then went on to talk about “government censorship,” which he says is covered in large part by a congressional investigation, where he said, “I mean, actually these people from the Biden administration would call our team and they’d kind of scream at them and swear at them and that’s like… these documents are all out there somewhere.”
Zuckerberg summarized that the conflict between his company and the government “basically got to this point where we said ‘No, we won’t, we won’t take down things that are true. That’s ridiculous.’

Rogan later asked about the response after the investigation, “was anyone held accountable? Were there any, I mean any consequences?”
I mean, they lost the election, Zuckerberg joked.
