Trump ordered the withdrawal of the US from the World Health Organization
Recently inaugurated President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for the US to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO).
In 2020, Trump set the ball rolling toward pulling the US out of United Nations agency, but President Joe Biden changed course after taking office in 2021.
“The United States intends to withdraw from WHO. The President’s letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations signed on January 20, 2021, withdrawing the United States’ notification of withdrawal dated July 6, 2020, is revoked,” Trump’s order stated.

“The Secretary of State shall immediately notify the Secretary-General of the United Nations, any other applicable depositary, and WHO leadership of the withdrawal,” the order said.
The US Senate voted 99-0 on Monday to confirm Sen. Marco RubioR-Fla., to serve as secretary of state — Rubio voted for himself before resigning from the Senate.
Trump’s order calls on the Secretary of State and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to “pause the future transfer of any United States Government funds, support, or resources to WHO;” “call and reassign personnel or contractors from the United States Government working in any capacity with WHO;” as well as “to identify credible and transparent United States and international partners to take over the necessary activities previously undertaken by WHO.”

The WHO issued a statement on Tuesday complaining about Trump’s decision and expressing hope that the US would reconsider the move.
“The World Health Organization regrets the announcement that the United States of America intends to withdraw from the Organization,” the globalist body noted. “We hope the United States will reconsider, and we look forward to engaging in a constructive dialogue to maintain the US-WHO partnership, for the benefit of the health and well-being of millions of people around the world.”
Trump signed a series of executive orders after taking office on Monday.
One of them declares American policy to “recognize the two sexes, male and female,” which “are not changeable and are founded on fundamental and undeniable reality.”
